Read Aloud: Tiger Rising
Each day we read aloud from a book that compliments our genre study in reading. Our current novel was chosen for its strong characters for our upcoming fiction unit. Tiger Rising tells the story of a 12-year-old boy named Rob Horton who finds a caged tiger in the woods behind the Kentucky Star Motel where he lives with his dad after his mom passed away. The story is all about how Rob overcomes this hard time in his life and forms new understandings.
